I have created a customised Age Analysis report in MYOB which makes use of a union report. The customisation includes a drilldown so the client can lookup any part payments for invoices not yet fully paid. This drilldown works fine in my office.
The problem comes when I export the report to install on the client's site. The report that the drilldown accesses does not get exported. Note that the drilldown report is not part of the union report, it is a standalone report.
How can I configure this to ensure the drilldown report gets exported?

Peter, this is not currently supporetd in Alchemex or powered by Alchemex products.

So you will need to ensure that any drill down reports that are associated with a report, get exported separately and alos get imported into the target system.

ALl union reports get exported as part of the parent report, so need to worry about that.

Hope this helps!
Many thanks Stephen.
One small point.
This solution may be mass distributed and hopefully we won't have to do customisation on each site.
The drildown tool references the required drilldown report identified by the report number.
This number is unchanged in the drilldown tool after export and import on another site.
The exported exported drilldown report will (I presume) import and keep the same number?
Any idea what happens if that report number already exists on the client's machine?
Hi Peter

When setting up the drilldown using the drilldown tool, one should not use the report id as a reference in the "Report ID/Code" section as this will vary on each users system. It is advisable to use a Report code. This is set up on the report in the Report Manager and remains constant. Hope this helps you.
Thanks Glynnis. This has resolved the problem.

One other connected matter. Am I correct is saying that the report used to show the drilldown transactions can not itself be a union report? I tried a union of 2 reports (running into the same sheet) but on drilling down it produced 2 separate workbooks.

Hi Stephen, Glynnis,

Can you please tell me how to get the report code?  Some reports seem to have them and others don't?  Unfortunately our drill down report does not have a code next to it, just an ID and for the reasons below we would want to use the report code not report ID.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated to save a lot of time.

Hi Allison

I'm not quite sure if you are needing assistance adding the report code in the Report Manager or in the actual Drill Down Definition.  I've attached a short, informal document that I hope will assist you in what you are trying to achieve.  The document explains how to add the report code to the report in the Report Manager and then to add the code in the Drill Down Definition.

Hope this helps

Regards

Glynnis

Hi Glynnis,

Thank you for your reply.  Just a quick tip - the report code is not visible in Alchemex 7SR under normal installation.  To enable this you need to go to the Alchemex.ini file and change the ShowReportCode from 0 to 1 and this enables you to see the Report Code field in the advance section.

Full credit to Chris Milllar for finding this out! :o)

Cheers
