Filter on columns in report designer?

I'm editing an existing condolidated report. When in report designer, can you put a filter on the columns? For example for one column we only want the data to print in excel for one company and another column we only want the data for another company to print. We've been running this consolidated report and then in excel deleting data for companies in certain columns to get the desired result. It's cumbersome and would like to try to find a more productive way. SMI 4.5 SQL.
