Comment by Les on April 20, 2011 at 3:54pm Hi Robin - the Excel Genie is available now for Pastel Partner, on build 11.2. If you already have the BIC module, you'll receive the Genie report when you move to the 11.2 build.

Comment by Terry Reilly on February 15, 2011 at 4:10pm Hi Guys and Gals
I have just started using the Pastel Evolution Genie and am having a problem with the Primary Row Grouping. I want to create a report using two segments Segment 0 is the Account and Segment 2 is the Branch. If I use the GL Cat Description as the Primary and then Segment 1 followed by Segment 0 I get all sales together in Branch order and then Cost of Sales etc.
I want all the sections for each branch together eg Sales, Cost of Sales etc for Durban then the same for Johannesburg etc.I can do it using the column area grouping but the report is two wide. I used Segment 1 for the Primary grouping and then GL Cat Description and segment 0. The Genie allowed me to insert the Branch names in the Rows but when I ran the report I got the following error message "An unexpected error occurred . Object reference not set to an instance of an object" Any bright ideas?
My balance sheet accounts do no all have branches so I thought if I could change the sort in the Genie basic report it might help. If one adds or deletes colums and changes filters, parameters and sort fields in the Genie report will this mess up the Genie ?
Regards
Terry
